Dr. Manoj K. Jha is the Adjunct Associate Professor of Data Science at the University of Maryland Global Campus, USA. He is also the Adjunct Professor of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the George Washington University, USA, and Professor of Practice in the Department of Computer Science and Information Systems at BITS-Pilani Hyderabad, India. His research areas of interest are data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, civil engineering and transportation. He earned a Ph.D. in civil engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park, USA, in 2000, an M.S. in mechanical engineering from the Old Dominion University, USA, in 1993, and a B.E. in mechanical engineering from the National Institute of Technology-Durgapur, India, in 1991. He also attended the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, as a Ph.D. student in mechanical engineering between 1993 and 1994. He has worked on many federal and state projects in the USA in data analytics, optimization, civil engineering, and transportation. He has published over 200 peer-reviewed papers and has written a book titled “Intelligent Road Design”. He serves as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Computational and Cognitive Engineering, and International Journal of Artificial Intelligence in Business and Management. He also serves as an Editorial Review Board Member of the International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems and Journal of Data Science and Intelligent Systems.
