Prof. Dr. Ting Lan currently works as an Associate Professor at the School of Life Sciences, Southwest University, China. She obtained a Bachelor’s Degree from the College of Life Sciences, Sichuan University, and a Ph.D. in Botany from the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She studied at the University of Washington, USA, from 2003 to 2004. She conducted her postdoctoral fellowship at the College of Life and Marine Sciences, Shenzhen University. Her main research areas and directions are plant comparative functional genomics, the structural and functional evolution of plant proteins, and germplasm creation in forest genetics and breeding.
