Prof. Lisa M. Kuhns received her MPH in Public Health in 2002 and her PhD in 2007, both from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She is currently a professor whose research focuses on the prevention of behavioral transmission of HIV infection and the promotion of health and wellness among HIV-impacted adolescents and young adults, including sexual and gender minorities. She has contributed to the development of scalable interventions across the HIV care continuum, including mHealth strategies, both in the United States and internationally. Her research topics mainly include adolescent health, health disparities, HIV infection, international health, public health, and sexually transmitted diseases.
