Qian Lei is a distinguished researcher, doctoral supervisor, and recipient of the Hunan Furong Scholar Award. He received his bachelor’s degree from Central South University (CSU) between 2003 and 2007, his master’s degree from CSU between 2007 and 2010, and his Ph.D. from CSU between 2010 and 2014. From 2018 to 2023, he served as an associate professor at CSU. Since October 2024, he has been a full researcher and doctoral supervisor at the Institute of Powder Metallurgy, CSU, and the deputy director of the Institute of Powder Metallurgy Structural Materials at CSU.His research focuses on the physical and numerical simulation of composition design, smelting and casting, powder metallurgy, additive manufacturing, deformation heat treatment, and the characterization and performance evaluation of casting structures for non-ferrous metals, including copper alloys, aluminum alloys, and high-temperature alloys.
