Dr. Gianna Dipalma graduated in Dentistry with top marks in
2000 at the University of Bari, with a grade of 110 out of 110 with honors. She
has been Registered at the Doctors and Dentists Order of the Province of Bari
since 2000. In 2005, she received her Ph.D. in Clinical Dentistry at the
University of Bari, Italy, in collaboration with the New York University in
Buffalo and Eastman Dental Institute of London, UK. She then took a
post-graduate course in Prosthesis on Implants at the University of Bari,
Italy. In 2020, she graduated in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Bari
“Aldo Moro”, and was registered with Order Medical Surgeons BAT and Order of
BAT dentists. She has been a subject expert in the Med/50 sector for the Degree
Course in Dental Hygiene from 2012 to date and an expert on the subject MED/28
Faculty of Medicine and Surgery from 2023 to date. She is also a Visiting
Professor at the City Unity College in Greece and Cyprus, FMD Tirana Faculty of
Dentistry in Albania, and at the University of Birmingham School of Medicine
and Dentistry UK from 2017 to date. She is the author of over 230 scientific
documents in internationally indexed Journals with an h-index of 42 (Scopus, March
2024), 12 chapters of books, 4 International Patents and over 130 articles
issued in National Journals.
Prof. Massimo Del Fabbro is a Full Professor at the Department of Biomedical, Surgical, and Dental Sciences, University of Milan, Italy. He received an MSc in Biology in 1989 and a PhD in Human Physiology in 1994 from the University of Milan.
He was the Director of the Research Centre of Oral Health from 2011 to 2016 and the Director of the PhD program in Oral Sciences at the University of Milan from 2015 until 2020. He is currently the Director of the PhD in Clinical Research at the University of Milan.
From 2002 to 2022, he worked as Head of the Section of Oral Pathophysiology at the IRCCS Galeazzi
Orthopaedic Institute in Milan. In 2022, he moved to the Fondazione IRCCS Ca' Granda Ospedale Maggiore Policlinico.
His research fields are periodontology, implant dentistry, endodontics, endodontic surgery, biomaterials, tissue engineering, platelet concentrates, salivomics, and oral–systemic disease interactions.
