Galidiya Petrova is currently a full-time professor in the Department of Electronics, Faculty of Electronics and Automation, at the Technical University of Sofia, Plovdiv Branch. She received an M.S. degree in Electronics and a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from the Technical University of Sofia, Bulgaria, in 1985 and 2001, respectively.
Her current research interests include medical instrumentation, IoT medical devices, noninvasive sensor devices, body sensor networks, and vital signs monitoring, with a particular focus on unobtrusive monitoring of drivers’ physiological parameters.
Prof. Petrova is a member of the IEEE Measurement and Instrumentation Society and the Biomedical Engineering Society.
