Joca Zurc, PhD, is associate professor of kinesiology and research methodology at the Department of Pedagogy, University of Maribor. She holds three PhDs in Kinesiology (2005), Philosophy (2016) and Statistics (2017) from the University of Ljubljana. Zurc's research interests focus on the healthy lifestyle and physical activity of students and teachers and their well-being in education. She is also dedicated to researching ethics and safeguarding in youth sport, health promotion in schools and the quality of research methodology. She was honoured with the Female Researchers Award in Dubrovnik in 2025 for her outstanding research in the field of sport, physical activity and health.
Matej Majeric, PhD, is an assistant professor of kinesiology at the Faculty of Sport at the University of Ljubljana. He teaches courses such as Sport and Healthy Lifestyle, Fundamentals of Movement in Sport and Fitness for prospective kinesiologists, coaches, PE teachers and physicians. His research focuses on the lifestyle and physical activity of children and adolescents. Through his work, he aims to encourage children and young people to engage in physical activity and have a healthy lifestyle.
