Dr. Eng. Ioana Monica Sas-Boca is a lecturer at the Faculty of Materials and Environmental Engineering of the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Materials Processing Engineering and Management in 2001 at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, as well as her master’s degree in Solid State Physics in 2008, and her PhD degree in Material Engineering and Science in 2013. As a Project Director, she has been a recipient of 6 research grants and she has published 46 scientific papers (26 articles indexed in ISI Web of Knowledge, 11 articles published in journals indexed in international databases, and 9 scientific papers published at conferences). She started her activity at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca as a PhD student in 2001 with 23 years of experience, and her main fields of interest and research expertise areas are computer programming and programming languages; CAD design; simulation and modeling; computer graphics; 3D printing; heat treatment; plastic deformation machines; plastic deformation processing technologies and materials technology; air pollution; environmental protection; and recycling processes.
