Prof. Dr. Javier Martínez-Gómez is a university lecturer at the Department of Signal Theory and Communications (Mechanical Engineering Area) of the Polytechnic School at the UAH. He is a member of the research group “Mechanical, Electrical and Thermal Technologies” of the UAH. He received his B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering in 2009, his M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering in 2011, and his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering with International mention from the doctorate in 2013 from UC3M. His lectures include more than 1800 hours of teaching in materials engineering, mechanical engineering, and research subjects at UC3M, PUCE, UISEK, and UAH. He has participated in 17 research projects, of which 7 he has coordinated. They were developed in very diverse areas of engineering. All of them were related to thermal design, material characterization, and decision analysis. It has been part of the first years of INER of Ecuador, which has allowed it to obtain important results in the energy decision analysis of the country.
