Harineck Mayamiko Tholo is an Assistant Lecturer in GeoInformatics in the Department of Earth Sciences at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, where he earned his BSc in Geo-Information Systems and Earth Observation Sciences with distinction. His professional experience includes advanced remote sensing and earth observation for environmental monitoring, web-based spatial systems, spatial databases, and advanced GIS programming. His research focuses on the application of machine learning in environmental monitoring and modern spatial programming analytics.

Jabulani Nyengere, a lecturer in geoinformatics at the Malawi University of Science and Technology, holds a PhD in Global Environmental Studies (geoinformatics) from Kyoto University, Japan. He also holds a Master's of Science degree in Geography, majoring in Geographic Information Systems and Remote Sensing at Chancellor College. His areas of specialization range from geospatial machine learning and modeling to advanced remote sensing and spatial statistics and analysis. Jabulani has worked on various GIS and remote sensing research projects, including geospatial soil heterogeneity, machine learning modeling and prediction for forest cover loss in Malawi, geospatial system development, and GIS network analysis for fish trade flows in Africa. Currently, he is leading a project for the development and upscaling of granulated rock-blended urine fertilizer suitable for Malawi's heterogeneous soils.
