Prof. Dr. Peter Futas was the head of the foundry department from 2011 to 2015. He currently holds the position of Associate
Professor at the Institute of Metallurgy, Faculty of Materials, Metallurgy and Recycling, Technical University of Kosice. Currently, he is the manager of several projects at the Ministry of Education, Science and Research. He has participated in many domestic and foreign conferences. The areas of his scientific research are primarily alloys based on iron and non-ferrous metals, as well as computer simulation of the foundry properties of these alloys.
