Laju Gandharum is a researcher at the Research Center for Geoinformatics, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Indonesia. He holds a B.Sc. degree from the Department of Geography, University of Indonesia, and a master's degree in environmental and sustainable development from National Central University (NCU), Taiwan. He earned his doctoral degree in environmental science at the School of Environmental Science, University of Indonesia. His research interests are GIS and remote sensing, particularly in agricultural, UAV, environmental, and spatial planning applications.
Djoko M. Hartono is a professor at the School of Environmental Science, University of Indonesia. His bachelor's degree is from the Sanitary Engineering Department, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB), and his economics degree is from the Faculty of Economics, Extension Programme, Universitas Indonesia (UI). He earned a master's degree from the Environmental Engineering Division, Asian Institute of Technology (AIT), Bangkok, Thailand, and holds a doctorate from the School of Environmental Science, University of Indonesia. His research area concerns environmental engineering fields, such as water supply treatment plant design, wastewater treatment plant design, solid waste management, and regional environmental planning.
Heri Sadmono obtained his master's degree in geography from the University of New South Wales, Australia, in 1998 and currently works as a researcher at the Research Center for Geoinformatics, National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). For the last few years, he has acted as technical coordinator for the Area Frame Sampling method development program for estimating and forecasting the national rice harvest area, where this method has been used nationally by the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). Several articles that have been published include the development of a frame sample for estimating corn crop area, Sentinel-1 dual-polarization data analysis to identify paddy growth stages in Indramayu District, Indonesia, the development of a fire danger rating system (InaFDRS), a new concept of fire prevention in Indonesia, and several other articles.
Hartanto Sanjaya is currently a researcher at the Research Center for Geoinformatics, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN) at the Geospatial Research Center, Indonesia. His field of expertise is digital satellite image analysis, especially in the agricultural sector. He completed a master's degree at ITC (Netherlands) and participated in several international activities regarding Land Cover and Land Use Changes in Southeast Asian Countries. He also studied the measurement, reporting, and verification (MRV) of carbon credits at Michigan State University, USA. He has written several papers regarding the application of remote sensing in various fields. In the last few years, he has also taught students at various universities in Indonesia. He is more focused on spectral analysis for agricultural plants, especially rice.
Lena Sumargana is a researcher at the Research Center for Limnology and Water Resources, the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). He graduated with a master's degree in Mining Engineering from Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB). He also received a diploma in geographic information systems from ITC Netherlands
Anindita Diah Kusumawardhani is currently a mapping surveyor at the Geospatial Information Agency of Indonesia. She holds a B.Sc. degree from the Department of Geography, University of Indonesia, and a master's degree in marine science from the University of Indonesia. She finished her doctoral degree at the University of Indonesia with research in ecosystem-based spatial planning. Her research interests include the valuation of ecosystem services, geographic information systems, and spatial planning.
Fauziah AlHasanah is a researcher at the Directorate of Laboratory Management, Research Facilities, and Science and Technology Parks (DPLFRKST), National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). Her areas of interest are natural resource management and remote sensing applications. In addition to her work as a researcher, she is also preparing for the accreditation and standardization of laboratories at the National Research and Innovation Agency.
Dionysius Bryan Sencaki is a young geospatial researcher at Indonesia’s National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). His expertise encompasses remote sensing and geographic information system (GIS) applications for land dynamics and Earth observation, as well as developing deep learning (DL) algorithms to address land cover and land use mapping tasks.
Nugraheni Setyaningrum is a young researcher at the Geoinformatics Research Center, Indonesia's National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN). His expertise lies in the application of remote sensing and geographic information systems (GIS) to address critical environmental challenges, such as flood management, land subsidence, and peatland degradation, by utilizing geospatial technology to analyze and interpret complex data to develop innovative strategies in disaster mitigation and sustainable urban planning.
