Jung Hyun Lee is a Principal Researcher at the Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), where she leads research on functional polymer materials for membrane-based gas separation and polymer electrolytes in energy storage systems. She received her B.S. and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Hanyang University, specializing in advanced polymeric materials for gas separation and electrochemical applications. Since joining KIER in 2014, Dr. Lee has led the design, scale-up, and field validation of CO₂-selective membrane systems across various industrial sectors. Her recent research has expanded to include electrolyte membranes for electrochemical devices, with a particular focus on polymeric electrolyte and separator for next generation batteries. She has authored more than 25 peer-reviewed publications and holds over 20 domestic and international patents. Dr. Lee is actively engaged in multidisciplinary projects that bridge materials innovation with system-level integration, with a strong emphasis on decarbonization and low-carbon process technologies.
