Dr. Kannan R.R Rengasamy is a Professor heading the Laboratory of Natural Products and Medicinal Chemistry (LNPMC) at Saveetha Medical College & Hospital, Chennai, India. He is also associated with the Centre of Excellence for Pharmaceutical Sciences (Pharmacen), North-West University, South Africa, as an Extraordinary Professor. He received his Ph.D. in Marine Sciences from Annamalai University in 2011. Dr. Rengasamy is a recipient of the prestigious Claude Leon Foundation Fellowship and NRF Innovation Fellowship. He has expertise in the chemistry of medicinal plants, lead design, synthesis, and experimental therapeutics. He has published more than 178 papers in SCI (E) journals and served as the editor of highly reputed journals in pharmacology.
