Dr. Ghadeer Kadhem is a research scientist in the Center of Environmental and Biological Studies,
College of Graduate Studies in Arabian Gulf University, Bahrain. She is
interested in the various fields of geoinformatics and environmental
sustainability. She has contributed to the publication of numerous
scientific articles related to her field of expertise, such as specialized
fields in land use sciences, urbanization, environmental resources, climate
change, environmental hazards such as flooding, and the selection of optimal
sites for groundwater injection and other environmental issues.
Dr. Aljenaid is an associate Professor of GIS and Environment at the Arabian Gulf University (AGU), Bahrain. Aljenaid has more than thirty years of professional experience (teaching and research) in the fields of Geographical Information Sciences (GISs) and remote sensing with a particular emphasis on vulnerability assessments and adaptation in climate change (VAA-CC) and sea-level rise (SLR) impacts on the coastal zone. Moreover, Aljenaid is involved in intensive research facilitation and using GISs in mapping and modeling land use/land cover changes (LULCC), suitability-sensitivity analysis (SSA), and disaster risk reduction (DRR).
