Cosmin Cotia is a PhD student at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca, where his research focuses on the application of virtual reality in rehabilitation and mental health. He is the founder of RehabXR and Brain Symphony, two innovative platforms that aim to transform well-being and therapeutic practices through immersive technologies. With a background in software development and game direction, he specializes in creating VR experiences rooted in neuroscience, cognitive behavioral therapy, and emotional wellness. His work includes gamified therapy, guided meditation, and stress reduction applications, bridging clinical needs and everyday wellness. In addition to his academic and entrepreneurial roles, he has extensive experience in project management and interactive system design, committed to advancing the role of immersive environments in health and recovery.
Silviu-Dan Mândru received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca in 1999. He has been a professor at the same university since 2004 and is the director of the Biomechatronics Laboratory. He has completed several research fellowships abroad (Spain, France, Denmark, Italy, China, Germany, and Finland). He has coordinated 20 national research, development, and innovation contracts. His research is focused on applications in rehabilitation and assistive technologies, as well as actuators and microactuators.
