Prof. Dr. Yu Hao earned a PhD in Economics from the
University of Hamburg, Germany, in 2012. He obtained a double Bachelor's
degree in Physics and Economics from Wuhan University in 2005 and a Master's
degree in Economics from Beijing Normal University in 2008. He is currently a
Professor and Doctoral Tutor in the Department of Applied Economics at the
School of Economics, Beijing Institute of Technology, where he also serves as
the Head of Department. He is the Chief Expert of major projects funded by the
National Social Science Foundation. In 2017, he received the 16th Young Teacher
Award from the Ho Yingdong Education Foundation. He has been listed among
“Highly Cited Chinese Scholars” (2020–2023), the “World’s Top 2% Scientists,”
and the global top 100,000 scientists. His main research topics include:
macroeconomics, energy economics, and environmental policy.
