Christian Kühnel obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) degree in Medical Technology in 2013 and a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Medical Technology in 2015 from the Ernst-Abbe-University of Applied Sciences. He further completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Health Care Management in 2020. In 2023, he earned another MSc in eHealth and Communication from the Friedrich-Schiller University, Jena. He received his doctorate from the Technical University of Dresden in 2025. Currently, he is the Head of the Department of Medical Physics in the Clinic of Nuclear Medicine at the University Hospital, Jena, and holds a lecturer position at both universities in Jena. Additionally, he is actively involved in various professional societies, including the Ärztliche Stelle Thüringen, where he contributes to the field of medical physics.
