Roger Roca Vallejo is a Nature-Based Solutions and Biodiversity Officer at ICLEI Europe. He holds a degree in Environmental Sciences and a Master’s in Biodiversity, Functioning and Management of Ecosystems from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). With over five years of experience at ICLEI Europe, he has contributed to more than ten Horizon 2020 and Horizon Europe-funded projects, focusing on topics such as nature-based solutions, climate adaptation and resilience, soil and water management, and the links between nature, health, and well-being. He is also a member of the Society for Ecological Restoration (SER).
Dr. Loukas Katikas graduated from the Department of Environment at the University of the Aegean and specializes in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and Environmental Management. He holds a Master’s degree in GIS and Disaster Risk Management and a PhD in Geostatistics from the National Technical University of Athens (Cartography Laboratory). He has participated in numerous EU-funded research projects in the fields of Environmental Protection, Disaster Risk Management, and Climate Resilience, as well as in programs related to Education for Sustainable Development, Green and Spatial Skills, and STEM education. His research activities and latest publications in numerous journals focus on
the Development of Environmental Applications, Spatial Modelling, and the Management
of Renewable Energy Sources.
