Dr. Nadeem Nazurally is an Associate Professor at the University of Mauritius, specializing in marine and environmental sciences. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Marine Science and Technology, an MSc in Solid Waste and Resource Management, and a PhD in Ocean Sciences and Marine Aquaculture. Dr. Nazurally has extensive experience in coastal ecosystem restoration, sustainable aquaculture, and blue economy development. He has led numerous national and international research projects focused on coral reef restoration, seaweed farming, and marine biodiversity conservation. He is a member of several professional societies and has collaborated with universities and NGOs worldwide. His work also emphasizes community-based conservation and capacity-building initiatives aimed at promoting sustainable livelihoods in coastal communities.
