Jessica Zerimar Cáceres-Zambrano holds a Ph.D. in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where she has served as an assistant researcher and lecturer since 2019. Her research focuses on the biological upgrading of heavy crude oil using microorganisms, with a strong emphasis on the integration of biotechnology and engineering for environmental applications. She is passionate about developing innovative solutions within the framework of circular economy strategies and environmental bioengineering. Dr. Cáceres-Zambrano also has prior experience in academic administration and project management and has contributed to various interdisciplinary initiatives aimed at advancing sustainable technologies.
