Dr. Zhaokun Zhang is a Research Fellow in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He received his BEng in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing and Automation from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China in 2015, and his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, in 2020. He worked as an Assistant Research
Scientist at Pengcheng Laboratory, Shenzhen, China, from 2020 to 2021. He is working on cable-driven robots, bionic robot, and medical devices. He has received the Silver Award of the 22nd China Patent Award
(2021), First Class Award of the Science and Technology Award of China Instrumentation Society (2020), Gold Award of the first National Machinery Industry Design Innovation Competition of China (2020), Outstanding Paper Award of Journal of Tsinghua University (Science and Technology) (2020), etc.
