Dr. Zhiwen Xu received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from Sichuan Agricultural University in 1994, 1998, and 2003, respectively. He completed his postdoctoral research at the Postdoctoral Workstation of Southwest University. Currently, he is a professor at the College of Veterinary Medicine, Sichuan Agricultural University. His research focuses on the influence of various immune pathways on the immunogenicity and efficacy of the porcine epidemic diarrhea (PED) vaccine. In 2022, he was awarded the Third Prize of the Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award for his work on the "Key Technologies for the Prevention and Control of Major Swine Epidemics."
