Sara Pereira has a Ph.D. in Sports Sciences specializing in Sports, Genetics, and Motor Behavior (2020) and a Master's in Sports for Children and Youth (2014) from the University of Porto. She is an Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto. Moreover, she is a researcher at the Center of Research, Education, Innovation and Intervention in Sport (CIFI2D), funded by FCT and housed in the Faculty of Sport, University of Porto. She also integrates The Society for the Study of Human Biology (SSHB). Her research focuses on youth motor development and health-related markers and relies on a holistic interpretation of human development to best understand the intertwined relationships between individual and environmental characteristics that shape body composition, physical fitness, motor development, lifestyle and cardiometabolic indicators. She has been involved in various research projects (Portugal, Cape Verde and Peru). She is a reviewer of several international peer-reviewed journals in her field.
Go Tani received his degree in Educação Física in 1973 from Universidade de São Paulo Escola de Educação Física e Esporte, a Master's in Educação in 1979 and a Doctor in Educação in 1982 from Hiroshima University respectively. He is a Visiting Professor in Universidade do Porto Faculdade de Desporto and a Full Professor in Universidade de São Paulo Escola de Educação Física e Esporte.
