Dr. Waled Tarek Aly Shehata holds a PhD in Architecture from Bond University, specializing in Sustainable Heritage Management and Development, and brings over 15 years of expertise in built heritage, spatial planning, and design including architectural, urban, and interior designs. With years of experience in Australia and internationally, Dr. Shehata integrates academic and professional practice seamlessly. Recognized through numerous awards and scholarships, including a High Degree by Research Scholarship, his work emphasizes excellence in research, teaching, and design of the built environment across various scales, the latest being on the shortlist for Tamayouz 'M. Makiya' Prize for Architecture in 2020. He currently lectures at Bond University’s Faculty of Society and Design, delivering courses in sustainability and refurbishment, and is a Senior Research Assistant in the same faculty.
