Christian A. Romero received his Ph.D in Microbiology and Chemical Sciences from Griffith University, Australia, in 2016. From 2016 to 2020, he was appointed Lecturer of Microbiology at the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral, Ecuador. Since 2022, he has worked as an Associated Lecturer in Microbiology and Biochemistry at the Universidad Bolivariana del Ecuador. His research focuses on discovering bioactive secondary metabolites and isolating and characterizing beneficial microbes to prevent the spread of fungal and bacterial diseases affecting economically important crops in Ecuador.
