Dylan Barker earned a Bachelors of Multidisciplinary Studies from the University of Mississippi in 2024 with an emphasis in Public Health, Political Science, and Anthropology. He is currently a Graduate Research Assistant at the Institute of Child Nutrition Data Analysis Lab, where he assists with the collection, management, and interpretation of national data from the ICN and contributes to program evaluation and data visualization efforts. He will complete his Master of Public Health degree at the University of Mississippi in 2026. His work in public health has manifested in multiple presentations, manuscripts, and community-based initiatives; his involvement and leadership include engagement with the Mississippi Public Health Association and serving as President of the University of Mississippi’s Public Health Student Association. He was awarded the Stamps Impact Prize for his community-engaged project on clean air promotion and environmental health education and now serves as lead program manager for the Clean Air and Learning Mississippi (C.A.L.M.) project. His research interests include rural health, substance use, epidemiology, and health disparities.
Dr. Andrew Yockey received his B.Sc. in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati Main Campus in 2015 and his Ph.D. in Health Promotion from the University of Cincinnati Main Campus in 2021. He is a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Public Health at the University of Mississippi. He has extensive experience in quantitative methods, survey data analysis, missing data, epidemiology, and multilevel modeling in the areas of substance use prevention, adolescent health, health disparities, and psychiatric epidemiology. He is also the Statistical and Methods Editor for the Journal of Medicine, Surgery, and Public Health, and sits on the Editorial Board of Scientific Reports and Prevention Science Journal.
