Dr. Hamid Hadim serves as a Professor and Associate Chair
for Undergraduate Studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at
Stevens Institute of Technology. He completed his academic training at the
University of Kansas, earning his B.S. (1980), M.S. (1983), and Ph.D. (1985) in
Mechanical Engineering. Since joining Stevens Institute of Technology, he has
actively participated in various academic committees, including the Academic
Planning and Resources Committee (APAR), the SES Undergraduate Curriculum
Committee, and the Undergraduate Studies Committee. His outstanding contributions
to teaching and research have been recognized through several prestigious
awards: the Alexander Humphreys Distinguished Teaching Award, Jess H. Davis
Memorial Research Award, and Dean’s Recognition for Excellence in Teaching. As
a Fellow of ASME, he conducts research in multiple areas of thermal
engineering, including sustainable energy systems, thermal energy storage,
battery thermal management, thermal challenges in micro/nano systems, thermal
convection in porous media, and microelectronics cooling. His work demonstrates
a strong commitment to advancing both mechanical engineering education and
research.
