Dr.
Shu Liang received his B.E. degree in automatic control and his Ph.D. degree in
engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China, Hefei,
China, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. From 2015 to 2017, he was a Postdoctoral
Fellow with the Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of
Sciences, Beijing, China, and from 2017 to 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar with
Wayne State University, Detroit, MI, USA. In 2017, he joined University of
Science and Technology Beijing, where he became an Associate Professor in
2020. In 2021, he joined Tongji University, Shanghai, China, as a Research
Professor. His research interests include distributed optimization, game
learning, and fractional-order systems.
Dr. Yuan Yao received his bachelor’s
degree and master’s degree in control science and engineering from Zhejiang
University, Hangzhou, China, in 2001 and 2004, respectively, and his Ph.D.
degree in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the Hong Kong University
of Science and Technology (HKUST), Hong Kong, in 2009. From 2009 to 2011, he
was a Research Associate with the Center for Polymer Processing and Systems,
HKUST. From 2011 to 2015, he was an Assistant Professor with the Department of
Chemical Engineering, National Tsing Hua University, Hsinchu, Taiwan. After that,
he was an Associate Professor with the same department. Since August 2019, he
has been a Full Professor. His research interest includes process data
analytics, process monitoring, soft-sensor techniques, nondestructive testing
data processing, and process control, etc.
