Roger RB Leakey received his PhD degree from Reading University in 1974 and a DSc degree from the University of Wales in 1998. In his career he has been Director of Research at the World Agroforestry Centre and Professor of Agroecology and Sustainable Development at James Cook University. He was a Coordinating Lead Author of the International Assessment of Agricultural Science for Development. He is currently Vice President of the International Tree Foundation and a council Member of the Global EverGreening Alliance. He has published over 400 research papers and books.
