Dr. Emiliano Antiga is an Associate Professor of Dermatology at the Department of Health Sciences, University of Florence. He graduated with first-class honors in medicine and surgery at the University of Florence in 2003, specializing in dermatology and venereology in 2007, and a Ph.D. in endocrinological, biomolecular, and regenerative biotechnologies in 2012. From 2012 to 2018, he was a researcher at the Department of Surgery and Translational Medicine, Section of Dermatology of the University of Florence. His fields of expertise include immune-mediated dermatoses, such as autoimmune bullous diseases, skin manifestations of connective tissue diseases, dermatitis herpetiformis, psoriasis, atopic dermatitis, and urticaria. Dr. Emiliano Antiga actively participated in the ideation and realization of several research projects funded by both private and public institutions. He participated as a speaker at several international congresses.
Prof. Emanuela Barletta is an associate professor at the School of Human Health Sciences (formerly the School of Medicine), University of Florence. She received her MD degree from the School of Medicine at the University of Florence. And her PhD degree in Experimental Pathology. Prof. Emanuela Barletta is a lecturer on general pathology at the Postgraduate Specialization in Clinical Pathology and Clinical Biochemistry, University of Florence. She is in charge of the teaching program of General Pathology at the School of Human Health Sciences, University of Florence, in the following degrees: “Medicine and Surgery” and first-level degrees in “Biomedical Laboratory Techniques,” “Orthopaedics Techniques,” and “Health Care Assistant.” Prof. Emanuela Barletta has focused her attention on the roles of cell adhesion and invasion in autoimmune skin diseases, radenitis suppurativa, and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as the role of occupational exposure to pesticides in the development of neurodegenerative diseases.
