Dr. Davor Pollak earned his Master of Science in Geosciences, focusing on Petrology and Settlements of the Seeds, from the
University of Zagreb in 2002. He obtained his Doctor of Science degree in 2007 from the Faculty of Mining, Geology, and Petroleum Engineering, specializing in Geological Engineering. Dr. Pollak has been a part of the Croatian Geological Survey since 2000, holding various positions such as Expert Associate, Senior Assistant, and Senior Research Associate, a role he
has held since 2017. From 2011 to 2013, he served as a Home Docent at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Mining, Geology, and Petroleum Engineering, as well as at the Faculty of Science. Additionally, Dr. Pollak worked as a Senior Lecturer at the university from 2010 to 2011. With over 20 years of experience in engineering geological research, Dr. Pollak specializes in large
infrastructure projects across Croatia. His expertise includes surveying motorways, roads, railways, pipelines, tunnels, bridges, and viaducts. He is also a member of several professional organizations, including the Croatian Geological Society (HGD), the Croatian Geotechnical Society (HGD), the International Association for Engineering Geology and the Environment (IAEG), the International Society for Rock Mechanics (ISRM), and the International Society for Soil Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering (ISSMGE).
