Gustavo Vejarano is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) at Loyola Marymount University (LMU). Dr. Vejarano also served as Graduate Program Director of the ECE Department at LMU from 2016 to 2021. He earned his B.S. in electrical engineering from Universidad del Valle, Cali, Colombia, in 2005, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, FL, in 2009 and 2011, respectively. Dr. Vejarano's research group at LMU is the Intelligent and Embedded Networks and Systems Laboratory (Intemnets Lab), where students conduct research on intelligent and embedded networked systems. Dr. Vejarano is the faculty advisor of the IEEE, CubeSat, and SHPE Student Organizations at LMU and Councilor of the Engineering Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research. He was chair of the IEEE Coastal Los Angeles Section in 2022 and 2023 and treasurer in 2024.
