I am a Lecturer of the Degree in Nursing at the University Centre of Mérida, University of Extremadura. I hold the following qualifications: Doctor in Law (Cum Laude and extraordinary award), Bachelor in Law, Master in Administration of Social and Health Institutions (isciii-ENS), Specialist Nurse in Community and Family Health, Diploma in Nursing.
I have extensive management experience both in health institutions and in the academic field: coordinator of the health area, head of the management assessment unit of the management evaluation unit of the Hospital de Mérida, member of the National Conference of the National Conference of Deans of Nursing, coordinator of the Quality Commission of the Nursing Degree, member of the inter-centre quality commission, member of the inter-centre quality commission, member of the department council, member of the UEX university, and deputy director of the University Centre of Merida.
I have been a member of the teaching staff of the University of Extremadura from the academic year 1995/1996 to the present. In the field of research, I have participated in several contracts and agreements, as well as in competitive R+D+i projects (both as principal investigator and researcher). I have also participated in more than 20 teaching innovation projects with different degrees of responsibility.
Jorge Carlos Vivas has been a Doctor of Sports Science since 2019. He is a co-author of 135 scientific publications in journals indexed in different media, of which 110 were published in JCR journals, with more than 1000 citations in Web of Science and Scopus and more than 2000 in Google Scholar. He has also co-authored five book chapters published by SPI. Many of these publications are the result of collaborations with international researchers from all over the world, some of whom are world-renowned and leaders in their fields. He has participated as a researcher in more than 20 research projects and contracts, obtained both through competitive calls and through contracts with national and international private entities. He has presented more than 30 papers in various national and international congresses and conferences. He has developed one utility model. He has supervised two doctoral theses. In 2022, he received the Award for Excellence in Research Career, in the Young Researchers Modality, for the Social and Legal Field, from the University of Extremadura. ORCID: 0000-0002-6377-9950.
