Prof. Dr. Guoqing He is a Professor of Building Technology at Zhejiang University. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, China, in 1997, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China, in 2000 and his Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Miami (UM), USA, in 2003. From 2005 to 2008, he was a postdoctoral fellow and lecturer at the University of Miami. His special interest focuses on the integrated system design and application of solar energy in buildings, including solar heat pumps, solar chimneys, double skin facades, thermal energy storage, and other
technologies. He is also interested in building ventilation strategies to achieve a healthy and comfortable indoor environment.
