Jordi Solbes Matarredona has a PhD in Physics and is a Full Professor of Sciences Education at the University of Valencia. He is the Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Director of the Research Group on Science Education and Science Teacher Training GIUV2013-175. He researches critical thinking and socio-scientific issues, STS relationships, and the history of science in science education, modeling and inquiry, and science teacher training, fields in which he has directed 23 doctoral theses and published more than 160 articles.

M. Francisca Petit—Graduate in Physics with a PhD in Experimental Science Teaching from the University of Valencia and advanced training in school management from the Autonomous University of Madrid. She is currently a secondary school teacher at San Antonio de Padua School in Carcaixent, serving as the Head of Department and Quality Coordinator, achieving Level III in the EFQM model (Quality Network of the Department of Education, Generalitat Valenciana). Since 2015, she has been an Associate Professor in the Department of Experimental and Social Science Teaching at the University of Valencia and a member of the DIDACIES research group since 2016. She is an active participant in national and international conferences (Science Teaching, RSEF Biennial, CTEM, SIEC, ESERA) as a speaker and contributor to academic journals as a peer reviewer. Her research focuses on innovative science education methodologies, particularly the use of science fiction films to teach science in secondary education, with multiple published articles on this approach. She is involved in educational innovation projects on science teaching and teacher training, emphasizing ICT tools and active methodologies. Currently, she is a board member of the Valencian section of the Spanish Royal Society of Physics (RSEF).
