Prof. Daniel Ochieng Olago is a Professor of Geology,
Chairman of the Department of Earth and Climate Sciences, and Research Director
of the Institute for Climate Change and Adaptation, University of Nairobi. He
has a B.Sc. and an M.Sc. in Geology from the University of Nairobi and a Ph.D.
in Physical Geography from the University of Oxford (Kenya Rhodes Scholar for
1990). He is a fellow of the Kenya National Academy of Sciences, the Geological
Society of Kenya, and the African Academy of Sciences. His research interests
are broadly in Quaternary and environmental geoscience, water resources, and
climate change.
