Author Biographies

Aliou Gadiaga earned a Master’s degree in GIS and Remote Sensing: Geography, Cartography, and Geomatics (2016) and a PhD in Climate Change and Human Habitats (2025) from Joseph KI-ZERBO University. His work in remote data collection, climate change, urbanisation, GIS, and remote sensing has resulted in 7 publications and 10 presentations. He was a research assistant for the Research Project on Performance Monitoring for Action (PMA) at the Higher Institute of Population Science of Joseph KI-ZERBO University, Burkina Faso, from 2017 to 2021. In this project, he was responsible for programme management and spatial and remote data collection. He is a lecturer and trainer in GIS, remote sensing, GIS and mobile applications, data collection, and data analysis. He is a member of several associations, including Esri's Young Professionals Network; the International Association for Urban Climate (IAUC); the Union for African Population Studies (UAPS); the International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE); and the Institute of Health and Society of the University of Quebec. His research interests include climate change, urbanisation, health, geomatics, and landscape ecology.
