Giorgio Biagetti received his Laurea degree (summa cum laude) in electronics engineering and his Ph.D. degree in electronics and telecommunications engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy, in 2000 and 2004, respectively. He is currently an Associate Professor of digital electronics and embedded systems at the same university. He has authored more than 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. His research interests include analog, digital, and mixed-signal circuit design and simulation, embedded systems design, wireless systems and networks, and signal processing.
Laura Falaschetti received her B.Sc. and her M.Sc. degree in Electronic Engineering from the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy), in 2008 and 2012, respectively. She received a Ph.D. degree in Information Engineering (final grade: Outstanding), curriculum in Electronic, Biomedical and Telecommunications Engineering, from Università Politecnica delle Marche, in 2017. She collaborated as a Research Fellow with the Department of Information Engineering (DII) at the Università Politecnica delle Marche from 2012 to 2013. From 2017 to 2021, she has been a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the same Department (DII) and a Contract Professor for the course “Sistemi Elettronici” (“Electronic Systems”) in Electronic and Biomedical Engineering, Università Politecnica delle Marche. Since 2022, she has been a Researcher at the DII and an Assistant Professor of Electronic Systems with the Università Politecnica delle Marche. She has been Session Chair of several invited sessions at the “International Conference on Knowledge-Based and Intelligent Information & Engineering Systems” (KES 2016, KES 2022, KES 2023). She serves as a Reviewer and Guest Editor for some international journals. Her research interests include embedded systems, machine learning, neural networks, edge AI, pattern recognition, system identification, signal processing, image processing, speech processing, bio-signal analysis.
Paolo Crippa received his Laurea degree in Electronics Engineering (summa cum laude) from the University of Ancona, Italy, in 1994 and his Ph.D. degree in Electronics Engineering from the Polytechnic of Bari, Italy, in 1999. From 1999 to 2006, he was a Research Assistant (member of the Technical Staff) and from 2006 to 2022 he was an Assistant Professor at the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. Since 2022 he has been an Associate Professor at the Department of Information Engineering of the Università Politecnica delle Marche, Ancona, Italy. He is the author or coauthor of over 120 papers in international journals, edited books, and conference proceedings. His research interests include statistical integrated circuit design and device modeling, mixed-signal and RF circuit design, nanoelectronics and nanodevices, biomedical circuits and systems, and areas of signal processing involving biomedical signals, and automatic speech recognition, neural networks, and nonlinear system identification. He is currently an Associate Editor for the IEEE Access journal and serves on the editorial boards, technical program committees, and review boards of several scientific journals and conferences, in the field of electronics, signal processing, and computational intelligence. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and a Member of the ACM and Italian AEIT. In 2007, he was a founding member of the academic spin-off CEDAR Solutions srl of the Università Politecnica delle Marche.
