Baljeet Singh Saharan is a prominent figure in natural farming and food microbiology. He holds expertise in sustainable agriculture through agroecology. Presently, a Principal Scientist/Professor at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, he oversees the Centre of Biofertilizer production and technology. He is a recipient of esteemed awards like DAAD (Indo-German) 2003, Raman Fellowship (Indo-US) 2013, and the 2021 Louis Pasteur Award for his contributions to microbiology and sustainable agriculture. Prof. Saharan actively promotes ZBNF/SPNF/Natural Farming, guiding numerous doctoral and master's students.
