Dr. Zbigniew Chaniecki, assistant professor at the Institute of Applied Computer Science, TUL - Lodz University of Technology, Poland, since 1999. He received an M.SC. degree in automatic control and robotics and a Ph.D. in industrial informatics. In particular, he is interested in issues related to solutions regarding algorithms for non-invasive measurement and diagnostics of industrial processes for processing tomographic data in industrial systems, as well as the construction of hardware ensors. During his work, he took a few research internships (The University of Manchester, U.K. and Bergen University). He has also completed research projects, including those financed by the EU and Polish Science agencies, covering models for sensing and data processing-based software for e-healthcare, computer forensics, industrial informatics and others. His research interests: measurements and algorithms of processing, visualising and analysing data, including: industrial applications, human-robot (especially social); human–computer interaction, various aspects of daily life, health care and physical activity, virtual and augmented reality, also cybersecurity and computer forensics. He is a board member of the Łódź Chapter of the ACM.
Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik is Rector of Lodz University of Technology, since 2007 Director of the Institute of Turbomachinery, and for many years Vice-Rector for Education. He graduated from Lodz University of Technology in 1987 and subsequently defended his doctorate. He has been a professor since 2014. His research interests include mechanics and biomedical engineering. He has researched blood flow in a project to build an artificial heart. He has also carried out scientific activities through work for Airbus Helicopters in the construction of an engine for the Eurocopter X3. Also, Prof. Jóźwik has conducted research on low-power wind turbines, a system for removing mercury from the exhaust gases of lignite-burning power units and methods for aerosol packaging disposal systems. He is a co-author of 10 patents and 15 patent applications. He is the author and co-author of more than 170 scientific publications, and the manager of research projects implemented under Horizon Europe. In 2007, he was appointed to the Management Board of Łódź Regional Science and Technology Park Sp. z o.o. as a Board Member. He held this position for 10 years. Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik is active in charity work within the Lions club, where he carries out numerous projects aimed at children. He is a keen cook and a great fan of tennis and volleyball. Prof. Krzysztof Jóźwik has received a number of awards for his scientific, organisational and charitable activities.
Dr. Krzysztof Grudzień has been employed at the Institute of Applied Computer Science, Lodz University of Technology (TUL) since 2001, since 2018 as Associate Professor. His scientific activity is related to the development of the discipline of Technical Information Technology and Telecommunications in the field of data acquisition, processing and analysis algorithms for non-invasive measurement and diagnostics of industrial processes and the development of functional prototypes for human-computer interaction research. In particular, he is interested in issues related to solutions regarding algorithms for processing tomographic data in industrial systems as well as hardware construction of embedded systems with the use of sensors and actuators for wearable devices. He is the author and co-author of more than 120 scientific publications. Krzysztof Grudzień is the chairman of the Council for the Human-Computer Interaction Degree at the Lodz University of Technology. He is a member of the Polish Information Processing Society and the International Society for Industrial Process Tomography.
