Author Biographies

James Marion Robertson, M.D., Ph.D., earned both of his degrees in 1977 from Tulane University Medical School. His Ph.D. is in molecular biology and anatomy. He undertook a neurology residency at the University of North Carolina in 1980. He retired in 1984 and has published four papers since: “The Astrocentric Hypothesis: Proposed Role of Astrocytes in Consciousness and Memory Formation” (2002), J. Physiology (Paris); “Astrocytes and the Evolution of the Human Brain” (2013) and “Astrocyte Domains and the Seamless and Three Dimensional Expression of Consciousness” (2014), both published in Medical Hypothesis; and “The Gliocentric Brain” (2018) published in The International Journal of Molecular Science.
