Since 2019, I have been a professor-researcher at the Department of Languages at Universidad Autónoma de Baja California (UABC), Mexico. I have done postdoctoral and research stays at the University of Sonora, at the Phonetics Laboratory of the University of Barcelona, and at the Center for Theoretical Linguistics of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. I coordinate the Program of Research and Applied Studies in Indigenous Languages at UABC in Tijuana, and I manage the Laboratory of Empirical Language Studies. My research interests are theoretical linguistics, particularly phonology and morphology of Northwest Mexican languages, linguistic documentation, and sociolinguistics of Spanish in the Northwest of Mexico.

Completed the PhD program in Language Sciences at the Universidad Autonoma de Baja California (UABC) from the Faculty of Languages, Tijuana. Currently, Deputy Director of the Faculty of Languages Tijuana extension Tecate (UABC). Also, participates as a professor in the programs of Bachelor of Language Teaching and the Bachelor of Translation which has allowed her to pursue research and teaching in the field of linguistics, foreign languages and translation. Since 2017, she has been a Member of the Mexican Organization of Translators (OMT).
