Author Biographies

Prof. Bernadette Dia Kamgnia is currently a Consultant in International Development, Associate Researcher at the Economic Policy Analysis Unit of the CIRES (CAPEC), Member of the Scientific Committee of the West African Center for Training and Studies in Banking (COFEB; since January 2022), and Member of the Steering Committee of the Center for Excellence in Statistics of the ENSEA. She was the Chair of the Thematic Group “Agriculture, Climate Change and Natural Resources Management”, and was a Member of the Programme Committee of the AERC till March 2024. From 20 November 2014 to 31 January 2017, she served as the Acting Director of the African Development Institute of the African Development Bank, having joined the Bank in November 2011 as the Manager of the Policy Management Division of the Institute. Prof. Kamgnia is Agrégé in Economics, in the Field of Statistics and Econometrics, and holds a PhD in Agricultural Economics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Kan David N'Dri  earned, from the International University of Japan, a master of arts in international development (2016) and a PhD in economics from the University Felix Houphouet Boigny on the Ivory Coast (2019). He is now an assistant professor of the Business and Social Sciences School at the International University of Grand-Bassam. His work in development economics has resulted in numerous publications, presentations, lectures, and courses. His research interests include the effectiveness of external capital, macroeconomics, and labor economics. He has worked as a consultant for organizations such as the African Development Bank (AfDB), the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and Ernst & Young, focusing on economic forecasting, financial management, and policy impact assessments. His career is dedicated to shaping economic policies that foster sustainable development and regional integration in Africa.
