Author Biographies

Ines Hernandez Camero received her Master’s degree in Natural Language Processing from Université de Lorraine in 2024. She worked as an NLP researcher at INRIA (2023–2024). In 2024, she moved to the University of Alcala where she works as an AI researcher. Her research topics mainly include large language models, knowledge graphs, and topic modeling.
Eva Garcia-Lopez is an Associate Professor at the Department of Computer Science of the University of Alcala (Spain). She is the co-director of the INTELIA research laboratory. She has been a Visiting Scholar at the Comparative Media Studies / Writing Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA). Her research interests include artificial intelligence, natural language processing, educational technology, and user experience. She has published more than 100 conference papers and articles in high-impact journals, including 28 papers published in ISI JCR-indexed journals, 24 papers in CORE-ranked conferences, and has 2 intellectual property records. She has participated in 26 publicly funded research projects (in 4 of them as the principal investigator), including 8 funded by the European Commission, and in more than 40 contracts with companies and private institutions, being the principal investigator in three of them. During her PhD studies, she spent a total of 12 months at several universities abroad: in Lund (Sweden), Oxford (United Kingdom), and Helsinki (Finland); in addition, she completed two postdoctoral stays (in Helsinki and Lisbon), for a total of 12 months.
Antonio Garcia-Cabot is an Associate Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Alcala (Spain). He is the Director of the INTELIA research laboratory, which is classified as a high-performance group. His research interests include natural language processing, artificial intelligence, educational technology, and user experience. He has published more than 100 conference papers and articles in high-impact journals (34 of them published in ISI JCR journals). He has participated as a researcher in more than 36 national and international projects, in 7 of them as the principal investigator (1 of them funded by the European Commission and 2 national research projects). He has also participated in 51 contracts and projects with other companies or institutions, in 14 of them as a principal researcher. He has supervised 3 doctoral theses: 1 jointly supervised with the UFM University, 1 with an international PhD mention, and 1 at the University of Zagreb (Croatia). He was a Visiting Scholar at the Comparative Media Studies / Writing Department of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (USA) in 2024. He stayed during his PhD studies in Lund (Sweden), Oxford (United Kingdom), and Helsinki (Finland) for a total of 12 months; in addition, he completed two postdoctoral stays (in Helsinki and Lisbon), for a total of 12 months.
Sergio Caro-Alvaro is an Assistant Professor at the Computer Science Department of the University of Alcala (Spain). He received his PhD degree at the Computer Science Department of the University of Alcala (Spain). He has participated in multiple research projects. His research interests include usability, user experience, and gamification.
