Author Biographies

Lok Bahadur B K is a doctoral candidate in Political Communication at Shenzhen University, China, with extensive experience in political social activities. He is currently the publisher of The Himalayan Diplomat. His research focuses on media and communication, political communication, foreign policy, and geopolitics, with a specific emphasis on Nepal’s international relations. He has published papers in reputable, peer-reviewed international journals.
Professor Dai is the dean of the College of International Studies at Shenzhen University. He is a state-level leading talent of Shenzhen Municipality, chief expert of several major National Social Science Fund and Ministry of Education projects, and a council member of the Chinese Association for South Asian Studies. He also serves as an adjunct professor at the Institute of South Asia Studies at Sichuan University, among other prestigious positions. Professor Dai’s research focuses on international relations and the world economy.
Dipak Devkota is pursuing a PhD at Shenzhen University in Political Communication. He is a domestic political analyst and monitoring and evaluation specialist in Nepal. He served as an advisor to the minister of finance in 2023 in Nepal. His research focuses on international and domestic politics, foreign policy, political communication, and the development of Nepal.
Poudel Ashok is a PhD student of Political Communication at Shenzhen University in China. He is a Nepali Journalist and a former Press Advisor to the Chairperson of the National Assembly in the Federal Parliament of Nepal. His research focuses on diplomacy, political communication, and the geopolitics of Nepal.
Zeyar Oo is a PhD student in political communication from Shenzhen University in China. He is a visiting scholar at Fudan University and a former advisor for the Myanmar Institute of Strategic and International Studies (MISIS), affiliated with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar. He has published some international papers, including articles and book chapters on the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and regional geopolitics. His research area mainly focuses on ‘political communication’ and ‘geopolitics’ in the Asia-Pacific region
