Dr. Laura Ismukhanova, PhD, is a Senior Researcher at the Laboratory of Hydrochemistry and Environmental Toxicology at the Institute of Geography and Water Safety and a Senior Lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, a Master of Science degree, and a PhD, she has extensive research experience in monitoring the levels and spatial distribution of harmful substances in the natural environment—including surface waters, bottom sediments, soils, solid atmospheric deposits, and aquatic organisms—and assessing their impact on ecosystems. She is highly qualified in aquatic toxicology and atomic absorption spectrophotometry. Zhádi Askhat has been working in the field of water quality research for over 10 years. He is currently a third-year doctoral student at Kazakh National Agrarian Research University. At present, he is working as a junior researcher at the Institute of Geography and Water Security. He also works as a senior lecturer at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
