Francisco González-Gómez is a Full Professor of Applied Economics at the University of Granada and a Senior Researcher at the University's Water Research Institute. His academic trajectory has been strongly focused on the economics and governance of water services. Over the past two decades, he has led and participated in numerous research projects addressing water pricing, efficiency analysis of water utilities, public–private partnerships, and institutional challenges in the urban water cycle. His work combines quantitative methods with policy analysis and has been published extensively in high-impact journals indexed in JCR. Professor González-Gómez also regularly collaborates with public administrations and international networks on issues related to sustainable water management and regulation.
