Prof. Dr. Sergey V. Sushkov is the Head Chairman at the Kazan Federal University (since 6/2012). He holds a BSc in Physics from the Kazan State University (Russia), 1983, a PhD in Physics (Candidate of Science) from the Center of Gravitation and Fundamental Metrology, VNIIMS (Moscow, Russia), 1994, and a PhD from theKazan State University (Russia), 2006. from 9/1983 to 1/1986, he was a researcher at the Kazan State University. In 1986, he joined the Tatar State University of Humanities and Education (TSUHE) as a Senior Researcher. There, he completed his postgraduate degree (10/1991–8/1993). He worked as an Assistant Professor at TSUHE from 8/1993 to 12/2006. He is the President of the Russian Gravitational Society, and a Council Member of the BRICS Association of Gravity, Astrophysics and Cosmology. He also serves as an editor of scientific journals “Universe”, “Symmetry”, “Space, Time, and Fundamental Interactions”, and for “Universe”. He is the Laureate of the State Prize of the Republic of Tatarstan in the field of science and technology. His research interests include cosmology, inflation, observational tests of early universe theories, gravitation, black hole and wormhole physics, and quantum field theory in curved spacetimes.
