Author Biographies

JIAJUN SHEN received his B.S. degree in traffic engineering from Beijing University of Technology, Beijing, China, in 2002 and his M.S. degree in solid mechanics and Ph.D. degree in transportation planning and management from Southeast University, Nanjing, China, in 2005 and 2009, respectively. He joined Yangzhou University, China, in 2009 as a Lecturer, advanced to an Associate Professor in 2012, and was appointed as a Professor in 2021. His research interests include optimized strategies for connected and autonomous vehicles, traffic safety, and the application of machine learning within intelligent transportation systems. He has been honored with multiple awards, including grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province, Jiangsu Province Transportation Science and Technology Project, the Key Research and Development Program (Social Development) Project of Yangzhou City, and the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Planning Fund of the Ministry of Education of China.
YU WANG received her B.S. degree in traffic engineering from Yangzhou University, China, in 2023, where she is currently pursuing her master’s degree in transportation. Her research interests include optimization strategies for intersection efficiency in mixed traffic environments involving both human-driven and autonomous vehicles and the optimal matching of mixed traffic flow characteristics. She is also engaged in the study of optimization methods based on specific strategies and the simulation evaluation of optimization outcomes. Her research participation includes contributions to projects funded by the Humanities and Social Sciences Research Planning Fund of the Ministry of Education of China.
HAOYU WANG received his B.S. degree in transportation engineering and B.M. degree in financial management from Yangzhou University, Jiangsu, China, in 2015, M.S. degree in transport planning and business management from Newcastle University, U.K., in 2017, and Ph.D. degree in management from Newcastle University Business School, U.K., in 2024. He is currently a Research Assistant in marketing operations and systems with Newcastle Business School, Northumbria University, engaged in academic research and teaching. From 2019 to 2021, he was a Research Assistant on the U.K.-India Education and Research Initiative (UKIERI) with Newcastle University Business School. He also participated in the EU-funded eHUBS Project in 2023, focusing on carbon emission reduction through shared green mobility hubs. His research interests include supply chain management, sustainable transport planning, and dynamic programming applications in logistics. He has been recognized for his academic contributions, presenting at the IFORS and EurOMA conferences.
Chunxiao Li received her B.E. degree in electronics and information science and technology from Shanxi Normal University, Xi’an, China, in 2006; M.E. degree in communications engineering from East China Normal University, Shanghai, China, in 2009; and Ph.D. degree from Waseda University, Japan, in 2012. Since July 2015, she has been an Associate Professor with the College of Information Engineering, Yangzhou University, China. Her research interests are related to intelligent transportation systems, eco-driving, vehicular ad hoc networks, etc.
